Las Cruces Announces Summer Operating Hours for Local Pools and Splash Pads

As summer temperatures begin to draw residents to cool waters, the City of Las Cruces has released the summer operating hours for local aquatics facilities. From May 24 to September 1, 2025, several pools and splash pads in the area will welcome families and fitness enthusiasts looking to beat the heat and splash into the season.

According to the City of Las Cruces, the East Mesa Bataan Memorial Pool, located at 6141 Reynolds Drive and Laabs Pool at 701 W. Picacho Avenue will feature two open swim sessions. These sessions will be available Tuesday through Sunday from 12 noon to 3 p.m., and from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., with both facilities observing Monday closures. The pools are set to open their doors on Saturday, May 24.

For those who prefer a more structured swim, the Las Cruces Natatorium at 1405 E. Hadley Avenue offers lap swim times from 6 to 11 a.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Notably, the Natatorium will be closed on Sundays, and no reservations are necessary to enjoy the facility.

The Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, situated at 1401 E. Hadley Avenue, will provide two open swim sessions each day between 12 noon to 3 p.m. and from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Additionally, the second-floor fitness area and gym will open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. during weekdays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday starting May 25. Fitness swim sessions at this center are also an option from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. during weekdays and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

For a more laid-back experience, the Metro Verde Splash Pad at 7125 Metro Park Street and the Plaza de Las Cruces Interactive Fountain at 101 E. Las Cruces Avenue will be open daily from 10 a.m. to sunset starting May 24. Similarly, the Unidad Splash Pad found at 1501 E. Hadley Avenue will embrace the same hours ensuring that the little ones can enjoy the water throughout the day.
