NMDOT Helps with Flood Recovery Efforts

The NMDOT remains actively engaged in assisting Doña Ana and Lincoln counties as recovery efforts continue following recent flooding.

This week, NMDOT placed a sand pile at the Vado/Del Cerro Community Resource Center in Mesquite, NM, allowing residents to fill their own sandbags as needed for flood protection.

In addition, NMDOT has donated several truckloads of excess recycled asphalt to both counties. These materials are being used to help restore driveways and walkways in impacted areas, including Vado and the Ruidoso region.

NMDOT is committed to supporting local governments and communities as they recover from flood damage. Alongside these efforts, we continue to make necessary repairs to roads and drainage infrastructure affected by the storms.

We appreciate the resilience of our communities and remain dedicated to working together for a stronger recovery.
