Steve Miller has cancelled the entire 2025 tour of the Steve Miller Band. Thankfully, it’s not due to a health-related issue. The 81 year-old is blaming it on the weather. In a post on his social media platforms on July 16, the classic rock legend wrote, “Always trust your instincts. The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires makes these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable.” The tour, announced last spring, had a robust 31 dates planned, many at outdoor venues, and was scheduled to begin on August 15 and continue to November 8. Tickets were available here.
The entire message, signed by “Steve, The Band and the Crew,” reads:
Dear Steve Miller Band fans,
You make music with your instincts
You live your life by your instincts
Always trust your instincts…
The Steve Miller Band has cancelled all of our upcoming tour dates.
The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive
forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. So…
You can blame it on the weather…The tour is cancelled.
Don’t know where, don’t know when… We hope to see you all again.
Wishing you all Peace, Love and Happiness,
Please take care of each other.
