The Stoneham Police Department shared a photo online of the giant marionette, which features bright red hair, empty eye sockets, and a classic clown costume. Taking a humorous approach to the bizarre situation, the department posted that the owner or anyone who recognizes it from their nightmares should contact them to arrange a pickup. Social media commenters quickly identified the eerie figure as a 7-foot, 7-inch animatronic character known as “Bobby Strings.” According to online sleuths, the towering prop is a popular decoration sold by Spirit Halloween for around $310. Officers are hoping to clear the spooky guest out of their station as soon as possible.
